Boost Your Donation with Gift Aid
UK taxpayers can increase their donation by 25% through Gift Aid, at no extra cost to them. Higher-rate taxpayers can also claim additional personal tax relief.
Example: If you donate £10,000 as a higher-rate taxpayer, you can reclaim £2,500 through your tax return. This means the donation effectively costs you £7,500, while EHCC receives £12,500 in total.
You can find full details on Gift Aid and tax relief on the HMRC website.
Transparency and Donor Protection:
EHCC operates three ring-fenced funds:
• General Fund – Day-to-day running and community activities
• Charity & Outreach Fund – Homeless outreach, children in need, food support
• Building Fund (Restricted) – Property purchase, deposits and transaction costs
Donor Protection Policy:
If a building purchase does not proceed, donors will be contacted and offered a choice of:
• Full refund
• Redirect to a future EHCC building project
• Reallocate to the General Fund
Donor Recognition:
We will honour and acknowledge the generosity of donors to the Temple Fund in a meaningful and respectful way within the temple, creating a lasting expression of gratitude for those whose support helped bring this vision to life.
